Jeremy Loko is the kind of student who says things like “It’s fun…” when talking about coding a game mod—then adds, almost as an afterthought, “It has over 20,000 followers, and it’s going to be published.” Oh, and 3,000 people are already signed up to subscribe when it launches.

That modesty shows up everywhere in Jeremy’s learning. Their desk is more than just a workspace—it’s an extension of their bookshelf, a spot that literally and metaphorically transports them into new ideas. Right now, they’re reading The Church in the Shadow of the Mosque by Sidney H. Griffith, a nonfiction deep dive into what life was like for Christians living under Muslim rule in the medieval Middle East.

Their curiosity stretches far beyond books. Jeremy’s been modding video games for about three years, and recently began working on a custom campaign mod for Baldur’s Gate 3, a fantasy role-playing game inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. Jeremy handles the programming side, collaborating with a team to bring in new characters, original storylines, custom art, and D&D locations not included in the base game. And yes, thousands of players are already eagerly waiting to see what they’ve built.

“It’s so nice,” Jeremy comments, reflecting on how the time for all their interests has expanded since joining Prestans. When they’re not working on a game mod or deep into political nonfiction, they’re all about theater. Their love of acting began in ninth grade with an audition for Alice by Heart, followed by a role in Macbeth. The experience sparked a deeper commitment that now includes a three-hour acting class on Saturdays and voice lessons on Mondays. “I like maintaining realism in given circumstances that differ from my real life,” they explain. “And singing is another medium to act—one that’s different from just spoken words.”

When you talk to them, it’s clear how much Jeremy cares, how hard they work, and how deeply they’re invested in making their education–and their life–their own. From world-building in games to exploring characters on stage, Jeremy’s path is one they’ve built thoughtfully and completely on their own terms.
